Today, FAWE Tanzania celebrated International Day of the Girl Child by hosting an exciting discussion at Holiday Inn Dar es Salaam. In this event, we collaborated with stakeholders and students from Kisutu and Tambaza schools to discuss ways of closing the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Together, we strive to inspire and empower girls to become leaders in innovation and societal development.
We emphasize the importance of science education for the girl child. Girls have the strength, capability, and determination to reach their goals, and we are committed to ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed in these fields. This is the time to empower girls with scientific education, as they are among the key players in creating solutions to the modern world’s challenges.
We encourage all students, both girls and boys, to join this journey of science and technology. Together, we can create a better future for our nation, where every girl child has the opportunity to excel in STEM fields. The power for change is in our hands, and by uniting, we can achieve our goals for sustainable development.
