Promotion of Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for girls, promotion of ICT for girls’ education and many others is another area of FAWETZ’s interventions that are geared towards addressing factors that hinder the vulnerable girls and boys of Tanzania from attaining their full potential and enjoying their full rights especially education. FAWETZ also constantly works towards ensuring that positive learning environment that treat girls and boys equally exist under its interventions. This has led to increased rates of girls’ enrollment, retention and completion of school in areas where FAWETZ operates.

Mainstreaming and replication

Under this objective, FAWETZ lobbies the government through MOEST to adopt, integrate and mainstream FAWE’s best practices that have demonstrated positive impact on girls’ education development. FAWETZ has influenced the MOEST to scale up Tuseme into primary and secondary schools. However, the pace is very low because of lack of funds. TUSEME was integrated in  

Secondary Education Development Plan (SEDP) in 2005-2009, though there still a lot to be done yet. Development partners and like minded organizations have replicated Tuseme and GRP models to their interventions districts
