Gender Responsive Pedagogy (GRP)

GRP is a teaching model developed by FAWE to promote equal treatment and participation of both girls and boys within the school environment. It equips teachers with lessons, improving student participation especially for girls, by addressing issues like sexual harassment and gender stereotypes.

GRP has been integrated into 35 public TTCs, 5 Universities, 50 districts – 370,000+ Pre-service and in-service teachers have been trained into GRP.

The model has been very impactful in decreasing School Related Gender Based Violence – SRGBV, positively contributing to good academic performance of learners especially girls, improved classroom Interaction and Participation and Positive attitude change in Teachers.
