Second Chance Pathways for Increased Access to Tertiary Education for Marginalized Young Women and Men.

“Second Chance Pathways for Increased Access to Tertiary Education for Marginalized Young Women and Men” also referred to as “FAWE-Mastercard Foundation Phase II”, the program is implemented in ten countries in Sub- Saharan Africa including Tanzania.

It aims to provide marginalized young women and men who cannot access and complete inclusive tertiary education particularly in STEM related courses to enhance their opportunity to get dignified employment and transition pathways to work.

The project will reach out to 600 students (200 bridging course in universities and 400 TVET) across 11 education zones in Tanzania. The ministries engaged under phase II are Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST), President office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) and Ministry of Community Development Gender, Women and Special groups (MoCDGWSG), Prime Minister’s Office- Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disabilities (PMO-LYED) and Ministry of Home Affair (MOHA).
